Oulu is the largest city of Northern Finland and is located by the sea in the Gulf of Bothnia. Residency apartment and artist studio is situated in the Oulu city center.
The city values nature, culture and education. Our artists and creatives have the unique chance of experiencing the northern city’s all four seasons with The Nightless Night’s during the summer and the long cold winter nights. Oulu is renowned for being a major cycling city, where the citizens are provided with excellent cycling routes throughout the city all year around.
The city has been elected to be the European Capital of Culture in 2026 and our residency plays a part in bringing diversity and cultural experiences to the region and its local communities.
