Oulu-AiR’s residency year will be wrapped up with a wonderful and important project and performance called What a Drag; Miss(ed) Gender(ed) by Anne Salmi (b. Finland) and Aleksi Moine (b. France). In their project Anne and Aleksi will explore drag culture and history through improvisation and clown art as well as domestic violence and non-binary gender identities. Their project will be performed after the holiday period, as the artists want to reach out to those people for whom the holidays might not be the happiest, nor the safest, time of year. What a Drag; Miss(ed) Gender(ed) will be performed at Tapahtumatila Laituri, where everybody is welcomed to come and join a fun but an emotional journey.

Oulu-AiRin residenssivuosi päätetään upeaan sekä tärkeään projektiin nimeltä What a Drag; Miss(ed) Gender(ed), jonka takana toimivat taiteilijat Anne Salmi (s. Suomi) ja Aleksi Moine (s. Ranska). What a Drag; Miss(ed) Gender(ed) on dragiä ja klovneriaa yhdistelevä esitys, jossa tutkitaan dragin historian merkityksen lisäksi muunsukupuolisuutta ja lähisuhdeväkivaltaa. Heidän projektinsa esitetään joulun aikaan, koska esityksellään taiteilijat haluavat tavoittaa heidät, joille joulu voi olla raskasta eikä koti ole välttämättä se turvallisin taikka hyväksyvin paikka. What a Drag; Miss(ed) Gender(ed) esitetään Tapahtumatila Laiturissa, jonne kaikki ovat tervetulleita kokemaan hauskan, mutta tunteellisen matkan.
