Next week a Stockholm based artist couple Mary Furniss (b. UK) and Roger Smeby (b. Sweden) will be joining us with a wonderful collaborative project called the Sick Times.

During the residency they will be researching the alchemical applications of stones and crystals in esoteric healing practices. Sick Times, encompasses drawing, sculpture and installation and explores themes such as the transformation of biological bodies into precious stones.

Ensi viikolla tukholmalainen taiteilijapariskunta Mary Furniss (s. Iso-Britannia) ja Roger Smeby (s. Ruotsi) saapuvat Oulu-AiRiin yhteisen Sick Times -projektinsa kanssa.

Sick Times on yhdistelmä piirroksia ja veistoksia installaation muodossa, joissa taiteilijat tutkivat eri kivien ja kristallien alkemiallisten vaikutusten käyttöä vaihtoehtohoidoissa. Samalla pohtien biologisten kehojen arvoja ja niiden muuntautumista arvokiviksi.
